In the seventh installment of our Come Along Journeys, we will be going to Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland. And we will continue to try to evoke at least some of the feelings of traveling to a new place! I will be sharing quite a few photos. I have based the narrative on my experiences, but for the sake of flow some events may be combined or altered slightly.
Lauterbrunnen is a town south of Interlaken and Bern. It is in a beautiful valley with waterfalls, scenic views everywhere.

Our group decides to split up upon arrival. AirBnBs and hotels can be expensive in this area, but we find a nice place for part of the group in Wengen, up above the valley. Wengen is a carless town. You can either hike there or take the train. Our group takes the train to catch the views, but some of us will be staying in the valley, in order to save money. The men of the group will be staying at EuroCamp near the waterfalls in Lauterbrunnen. The EuroCamp camp has a great setup, they provide the tent, the cots, a gas stove, a fridge, electrical outlets and some activities. The camp also has a fantastic restaurant (where you have to make a reservation, because it is that popular), where they serve fantastic Berner Alpkase and fondue.

We do end up spending some money on paragliding and on a train to the top of Jungfraujoch, where there is still snow in July. We also visit the Trummelbachfalle, the waterfalls inside of a mountain.

*The Eurocamp really was a great place to stay. The restaurant was really great with really good food. The Jungfraufoch was expensive to get to, but it was worth the money. In July, there was still snow and they have tubing and skiing.
